Tarrytown, NY

Greetings to everyone from Tarrytown, NY!  I am currently in Westchester County, NY for a couple of reasons.  One reason is to look at the Westchester Marriott for a CAN DO program.  I am pleased to report that we will be holding our CAN DO program at the Westchester Marriott on August 6-10, 2008.  I am excited that we will be returning to New York since we haven't been here since 2004.

The impetus for both programs was one of our past participants Millie Cinquemano-Klebing.  At our 2003 New York Autumn Benefit, Millie put forth a challenge to hold a CAN DO program in Long Island.  The attendees that evening, at the Time and Life Building in Manhattan, rose to the challenge and provided funding for that program.  Unfortunately Millie passed away, unexpectedly, about one year ago and at last year's Autumn Benefit a similar challenge was put forth, in Millie's memory.  Once again, the attendees rose to the challenge in providing the seed funding for a program in New York.  We are excited to be able to provide a program in New York again this year, although we will return with heavy hearts and the memory of Millie.

Until next time.
