Howard has been a member of The Heuga Center’s Board of Directors since 2004, not long after he and his wife, Barbara, participated in a CAN DO program in Vail. Howard serves on the Nominating Committee, and is a tireless fundraiser and spokesperson for the Center, sponsoring Vertical Express for MS teams each year, and providing The Heuga Center with extensive local and national exposure through his corporate networking. Howard is the principal force in creating the August 2006 golf tournament at the Sanctuary Golf Course in Sedalia, Colorado, a premier Front Range event that raised significant funds for the work of the Center.
As founder and CEO of STAR POWER Systems, an acclaimed real estate sales training organization, Howard Brinton is one of the country’s top trainers and motivational speakers in the real estate industry. Howard has long been a trailblazer, and got his start in the late 1960s “selling dirt” in Utah. He eventually moved into marketing condominium conversions in Colorado and, in his peak year as a salesperson and broker, closed 470 transactions.
In 1989, Howard had an idea that provided the foundation to combine three of his true passions – real estate, education, and his love for helping others. His vision was based on a concept that, at the time, was foreign to real estate professionals – sharing. He began a series of audiotape interviews with top producers whom he called STAR POWER Stars, and then distributed their great ideas with other brokers and agents. Howard’s interviews grew into the STAR POWER Club, now the nation’s longest running interview series developed specifically for real estate professionals. The series has produced more than 18,000 hours of research and over 300 interviews. Today, STAR POWER’s products encompass tapes, CDs, books, seminars, forums, online chats, and the annual international STAR POWER conference – all providing the systems, solutions, tips, and motivation to improve any area of a real estate business.
A dynamic entertainer, educator, and mentor, Howard has helped thousands of people become successful in the real estate business. He has been praised for his integrity and passion, and was recently honored by RE/MAX International and RISMedia as the recipient of an annual award entitled “On the Shoulders of Giants,” for his contributions to the real estate industry. Howard is a past president of the Council of Residential Specialists and is a regular speaker at the National Association of Realtor’s Annual Convention.
Howard’s wife and business partner, Barbara, was diagnosed with MS in 2001. They reside in Castle Rock, CO, just south of Denver.
