Michael is a partner in The Connecticut Group, a unique team of experts providing financial planning, insurance, and investment services. He is a member of The Heuga Center family of supporters, participating in his first Vertical Express for MS season in 2005-06 and subsequently being elected to the Center’s Board of Directors in April 2006. Michael is a born fundraiser, and currently serves on the Development Committee and Finance Committee.Mr. Thomas is a licensed investment broker through the National Association of Security Dealers with AXA Advisors, LLC, a member of NASD and SIPC. He strives to provide clients of all ages with a range of products to fit their specific goals. He is licensed in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. Mr. Thomas is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University, earning a BS in Business and Economics in 1986. He is a Registered Investment Advisor Associate and earned the designation of Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow in 1992 through American College in Pennsylvania. Michael is a member of the “Million Dollar Round Table,” a prestigious international organization abiding by a strict code of ethics and recognized as being in the top 6 percent of the financial services industry. He recently received a Retirement Designation Specialist credential from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Michael became interested in The Heuga Center after he reconnected with a college friend who is severely challenged by multiple sclerosis. Michael supports The Heuga Center in his friend’s honor, and is committed to helping raise funds to enable more people with MS to attend Heuga Center programs and enjoy happier, more active lives. In addition to his enthusiastic involvement with The Heuga Center, Michael coaches Little League Softball and is a Big Brother volunteer. He is an avid golfer and downhill skier, and spends much of his time with son Zack and daughter Emily.
