Volunteer Opportunities

As a nonprofit organization, The Heuga Center relies heavily on the support and enthusiasm of committed volunteers. Since it was founded in 1984, the Center has had strong support from the skiing community. In 1985 ten volunteers skied a 24-hour marathon in Alyeska, Alaska, setting a world record and raising $250,000. Since then volunteers have been the backbone of the Vertical Express for MS, now in its 23th successful year.

Events like the annual Heuga Center Golf Tournament in Cordillera, Colorado and the Annual Autumn Benefit in New York City rely on the efforts of our volunteers.

Donating your time to The Heuga Center is fun and rewarding.

If you are interested in volunteering for any of the Vertical Express events, or one of our other fundraising events or helping out in the home office in Edwards, Colorado, please call us at 1.800.367.3101.

In-kind contributions also play a large role in reducing our costs and thereby allowing us to channel more funds directly to helping people with MS. If you have a skill, a product, or service that would benefit the Center, please contact us.
